This is a transcript of a discussion with Edward Davey, UK Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change on the UK’s strategy to combat climate change. In his speech, Daney argues that there is a pressing need for green growth as part of the British economy and that political leadership in Europe is essential to drive global ambition to tackle climate change. He further makes the case for multilateralism – as exemplified by the efforts of the UN climate negotiations in Doha - as a potent strategy to ensure climate protection.
