This report analyzes legislative activity and coalition formation in the European Parliament (EP) during the first half of the 7th legislative term, 2009-14. By contrasting activities to previous terms, it finds that changes in the composition of the EP and the Lisbon Treaty have had a marked impact on the institutions.
