In this paper, the author addresses the prospects of China ascending to superpower status. The author emphasizes that being the world’s largest economy is not sufficient for transforming itself into the most powerful nation. Diplomatic relations also need to be in harmony. The aggressive diplomacy carried out by China against neighboring countries concerning the South China Sea could downgrade its image and position in the world, argues the author.
