The article discusses the politics of knowledge production in nuclear policy making. It notes that the current trend is to look for ways to reduce the role of nuclear weapons while expanding the concept of deterrence to encompass cyber and space. It argues that if policymakers want to "put an end to Cold War thinking" they will have to create an intellectual space for new thinking and questioning existing paradigms.
