This paper analyzes the history Russia-Bangladesh relations, particularly during Soviet times. The author argues that relations between the two countries have recently improved and that this could be a reminder to the US that Bangladesh has alternative partners to work with if Washington were to marginalize the country. He also suggests that closer ties between Bangladesh and Russia are unlikely to gain disapproval from China.
