This paper talks about the terrorist group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TPP) and the threat it poses to security in Karachi. The displacement of large Pashtun communities from Pakistan's hinterlands as well as distrust of the major political parties has seen the TPP's power grow significantly in Karachi. The author argues that if the situation is left unchecked, it could even lead to urban insurgency. Therefore, he suggests that political actors must work to counter the threat posed by the TPP.
