This report provides employment and wage information on those who work in the science and engineering sectors in the US. First, the report gives a set of data on these professions from 2011. Second, it makes a review of trends in these sectors during the 2008-2011 period. Finally, it examines how these trends are expected to change between 2010 and 2020. The author also talks about a number of issues that Congress might want to consider if they want to ensure that the US can maintain an adequate science and engineering workforce in the future.
