This CNAS Report begins by analyzing seven areas of US defense spending which, if reformed, could save the federal government between $340-490 billion over 10 years. The report then goes on to recommend enduring reforms in these areas -- not only to adapt to a future of constrained budgets, but also to protect the Pentagon’s ability to perform its core missions.
