This report provides a broad overview of European and US responses to the changes in six countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA): Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Libya, and Syria. While emphasizing EU efforts, the report also discusses how bilateral member state relations are influencing EU policy. The final section of the report describes the status of US-European efforts to coordinate political and economic policies toward the MENA region, before presenting potential prospects and challenges for further US-European cooperation in region.
