This paper examines the political use that can be made of cyberspace. The author conducts an ecological analysis of the defining characteristics of cyberspace and the security implications attached to it. The paper concludes that although cyberspace introduces new security concerns, the ability of those acting in cyberspace to directly change the behavior and conditions of another through coercion remains limited.
