This document provides a summary of a meeting held at Chatham House on 18 June 2013. The meeting looked at political trends and the investment climate in Madagascar. Of particular note, Timothy Smart, British Ambassador to Madagascar, discussed why the 2013 elections will be vital for reassuring international donors and investors that the country is on the path to political recovery and economic stability.
