This report provides information on Turkish domestic and foreign policy. Specifically it discusses possible policy options for Members of Congress and the Obama administration to shape and oversee US relations with Turkey. The author argues that, although US-Turkey cooperation on issues affecting the Middle East has become closer, developments in Syria, Israel, and other issues have led to questions about the convergence of US and Turkish strategic priorities and values, both short and long term.
