This paper looks at how internationalization can help Spain overcome its recession. It first looks at the benefits of internationalization from a theoretical standpoint and then reviews the Spanish economy’s internationalization process, pointing out its strengths and weaknesses. Finally, it presents lessons and recommendations based on both the international and Spanish experience.
