This report discusses the ongoing negotiations over the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the US and the EU in 2014. Both the US and the EU seek to increase market access through the elimination of barriers to trade and investment in goods, services, and agriculture, and enhance regulatory cooperation. The authors argue that Congress has a direct interest in the TTIP, and hence conclude that the 113th Congress may consider the renewal of Trade Promotion Authority for the TTIP.
