This paper reports on the closed-door scientific workshop entitled “Membership in the Reforming Euro Area: The CEE Perspective” that took place at the Polish Institute of International Affairs on June 25, 2013. The aim of the workshop was to assess the prospects of future enlargements of the euro zone and the role of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in that process. Although the discussion concerned the whole CEE region, the emphasis during the workshop was put on the experience of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
