This report examines the concept of a court-martial in the military justice system. It looks at the offenses tried in courts-martial and investigation procedures used referring to legislation which defines the conditions under which a court-martial can be applied. It further informs on the three types of courts-martial and compares selected procedural safeguards employed in military courts.
