This report provides answers to a number of policy questions for lawmakers regarding possible US military intervention in Syria following the chemical attack in the suburbs of Damascus. It the process it looks at the proper role for Congress in authorizing and funding US military action abroad and the efficacy of the use of force in shaping global events.
