This report analyzes the political situation in Kuwait and its relevance for US foreign policy in the Persian Gulf. In particular, it looks at Kuwait's political system, the series of political crises the country has gone through since 2006, and its human rights issues. It also looks at US-Kuwait relations and defense cooperation, Kuwait's economic policy, and the foreign policy issues facing the country.
