This paper argues that Australia’s hosting of the G20 in 2014 is both an opportunity and a challenge and that for the summit to be a success for the country, Australia will need to improve the way the G20 works, define a focused agenda, and directly engage leaders. The author sets out the priorities for the summit and how Australia can help achieve them.
