This report looks at the implementation status of the United Nation Security Council's Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security by NATO members. It says that 17 of the 28 members have adopted National Action Plans (NAPs) stimulating and guiding action in this field and that others have forwarded the women, peace and security agenda through existing legal and policy frameworks. It argues, though, that the NAPs remain the most effective tool to meet the objectives outlined in Resolution 1325.
