This brief argues that Qatar has reached the limits of its power and that it needs to make adjustment to its foreign policies it if it wants to retain influence in the Arab world. Some of the factors contributing to these conclusions include 1) Prince Tamim’s assumption of power, 2) a renewed focus by the emirate on internal affairs and development projects, and 3) the widespread criticism Doha has received over its 'opportunistic' and 'adventurous' regional policies.
