This commentary looks at Indonesia’s offer to mediate peace talks in the Philippines. The author discusses the prospects for Indonesia’s success, looking back at the country's role in the committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its involvement in sealing a peace agreement between the Philippines and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) rebels in 1996.
