This commentary discusses the EU's foreign policy towards Egypt and the direction this policy should take following the removal of President Mohamed Morsi. The author argues that the EU should try to build a real and inclusive political dialogue with Egypt in order to help restore a democratic process that addresses the legitimate requests and aspirations of the Egyptian people.
