This brief discusses the impact of the Arab Spring on US-Saudi Arabia relations. The authors state that Saudi Arabia is dissatisfied with US policy in the Middle East and has lost confidence in its partner. They also argue, however, that regional turmoil has strengthened US-Saudi cooperation, for example in the war against al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
