This commentary looks at the about-turn in nuclear energy policy which most Southeast Asian states have conducted in their search for greater energy security. The author explains that among the nations in the region, Singapore alone has concluded that the safety risks are too high and current technology is not advanced enough to embark on the use of more nuclear power technology.
