This paper examines the progress which has been made on the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada, and compares it to the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (TTIP) between the US and EU. The author argues that, given that the CETA talks are in a more advanced stage, they can provide some valuable and much-needed insight into TTIP, both in terms of process and substance.
