This is a transcript of a talk given by Mikhail Margelov, Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of Russia's Federation Council, on Russia's influence in the Middle East and North Africa, increased engagement with governments in the region and its role in Syria. The speaker argues that Russia does not want to be a part of the problem in any political crisis in the region, but rather a part of a solution.
