The author of this paper argues that US foreign policy under President Obama has no clear goals or objectives and that it has negatively affected the interests of the country. He then goes on to argue that the only way to reverse what he perceives as the loss of US power, influence and credibility is to adopt what he calls prudent American realism, which combines American realist principles with Aristotelian prudence.
