This commentary talks about the institutions of the EU and argues that the Union needs to work to make them more democratic and transparent. The author believes the EU must do this to counteract the powerful anti-Europe sentiments swirling throughout the Union and to motivate its citizens to vote in a constructive spirit in the 2014 European elections.
