This monograph examines the origins and legal-political dynamics of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), which acts as a security and military cooperation framework for the Eurasian region. Among other topics, the report explores how the CSTO functions as a transnational organization; how it cooperates with the UN, NATO and other institutions; and what threats and challenges it is seemingly designed to address.
