This report maps the various manifestations of political and extremist conflict in Pakistan involving state, non-state, and transnational actors between 2006 and 2013. It highlights the main zones of violence; identifies key players; and offers a contextual description of conflict dynamics. The authors focus on those responsible for violence in the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
