This bulletin discusses the US pivot toward the Asia-Pacific and says that a coalition in support of this strategy with its aim to counter the rise of China is emerging in Southeast Asia. He also says that although the ultimate outcome of the emerging competition between China and the US is unclear, what is apparent is that it will be the defining strategic contest of the first half of the 21st century.
