This paper provides an overview of the US-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement, which entered into force on May 15 2012, as well as trade relations between the two countries in general. It also looks at labor rights violations in Colombia, including alleged violence against Colombian labor union members, and the Action Plan Related to Labor Rights negotiated by the US and Colombia, which seeks to resolve them.
