This paper calls for both policy makers and business leaders in Canada and Australia to intensify their bilateral and multilateral cooperation in East Asia. After analyzing the strategic setting Ottawa and Canberra would be operating in, the paper recommends that they directly engage with each other in four areas -- 1) strengthening regional defense and security cooperation, 2) doing the same at the bilateral level, 3) bolstering regional governance (and their mechanisms), and 4) boosting industrial and economic cooperation.
