This report analyzes the sanctions the US and the UN have imposed on Iran and the debate over whether they have led to changes in Tehran’s policies, particularly in terms of its willingness to negotiate over its nuclear program. The author also examines several scenarios that might influence whether these sanctions are eased or increased as well as their effectiveness.
