This report uses interviews with politically active youth, university students and young journalists in various Afghanistan regions to explore how the growing numbers of youth political parties, networks and organizations are reshaping Afghan politics. The authors find that youth politics in the country are still deeply tied to established political elite networks, and that there are high levels of fragmentation, with the majority of politically active youth belonging to provincial organizations with no links to national parties.
