Publication

This paper mainly discusses Russian journalist Yuliya Latynina's description of Putin’s ‘new warfare’, which includes the use of noncombatants as human shields, employing the media for public relations, engaging provocateurs to act as local forces and implementing a hearts and minds strategy. The author also explores some possibilities as to how the situation in Ukraine, as well as between Russia and the West, could develop.
