This paper presents a collection of articles analyzing the initial phase (2010-early 2011) of the Arab Spring in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Iran, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Specific topics include the relationship between the EU and the Arab world, the opportunities for social change in Iran, the propagation of messianism among the masses in Iran, the international community’s role in Libya, and the future of the uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa.
