This is a transcript of a panel discussion on some of the key challenges facing freedom of the press around the world. Among other issues, the discussants address 1) the decline in media freedom in Turkey since the Gezi Park protests in 2013; 2) the impact of changes in Western countries’ foreign policy on the state of the freedom of the press; and 3) the future of media freedom.
