This report documents responses of Muslims living in Sydney to a variety of online campaigns that promote non-violent political activism or aim to counter violent extremism. Its key finding is that rather than being an audience for government-sponsored internet-based campaigns, Muslims in Sydney created and used their own web platforms which provide avenues for non-violent political protest and expression. The report concludes with a series of recommendations for the Australian authorities.
