This paper examines the proposed "BCIM Initiative" which aims to revive the 'Southern Silk Route' by fostering greater economic cooperation between Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar. The author explains the cultural and economic relationship that already exists between the four countries and then examines the opportunities and challenges that the BCIM Initiative could about.
