In light of the Parliamentary majority won by Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India's 2014 elections, this paper provides a brief overview of Modi's rise from humble beginnings to becoming the Prime Minister of India. The author also briefly looks at what Modi and his brand of Hindu nationalism could mean for India's future.
