This paper discusses the relations Afghanistan has with Pakistan, India, China, Russia, Iran and Turkey ahead of the withdrawal of International Security Assistance Force troops from the country in 2014. The author also examines the tensions between the US and Pakistan over operations in Afghanistan and the importance of Pakistan to Afghanistan's stability.
