This commentary discusses the prospective economic and security reforms in Japan under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The author particularly focuses on the impact these reforms may have on the country’s economic model and security role in the region, as well as the political, diplomatic and legal challenges impeding Abe's reform plans.
