This commentary discusses the EU's response to Russia's role in the conflict in Ukraine and what the Union's options are for the future. The author suggests that despite the EU's diplomatic advances and the sanctions it has imposed against Russia, Moscow has escalated its part in the Ukrainian conflict leading to calls for further action from the Union. He then goes on to discuss what further measures the EU could take to respond to Russia, including placing more sanctions on Russia and possibly supporting Ukraine militarily.
