This commentary examines the European Commission’s priorities in the area of financial markets policy, arguing that three main themes stand out: moving back to normal in financial markets regulation, adequate implementation and enforcement, and access to finance. The author explores these themes and calls for continued global regulatory coordination to properly implement them.
