This issue looks at political violence and terrorism, with a particular focus on the counterterrorism efforts of India and Pakistan. It includes articles on: 1) the ineffectiveness of Pakistan’s peace negotiations with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP); 2) the impact of the US-led “War on Terror” on Pakistan’s economy; and 3) the crucial role of India’s 2014 newly elected government in shaping the country’s counterterrorism policies.
