This report examines the police partnership Papua New Guinea (PNG) has with Australia as well as what role this partnership can play in helping PNG deal with the crime and the other challenges it faces. The authors illustrate how continued and enhanced cooperation between PNG and Australian police is in the interests of both countries and outline the case for establishing an enduring strategic police partnership as opposed to the fluctuating collaborations of the past.
