Publication

This paper discusses the relevance and importance of strategic foresight for development policy in Africa. It then illustrates how the application of a quantitative integrated forecasting model such as the International Futures (IF) model could be used to inform the African Union's development plan - "Agenda 2063". The author also proposes some other ways to strategically inform development in Africa.
