This commentary examines trends in US-India relations as well as where the relationship stands following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US in September 2014. The author suggests that while there is some hope relations will improve due to such factors as the apparent development of a good rapport between Prime Minister Modi and President Obama, there are still significant disagreements between the two states.
